Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Wind Farm Technician Associate in Texas to support operations and maintenance at wind farms and related facilities. This entry-level role emphasizes safety, basic troubleshooting, and hands-on training to build foundational skills.

Working with experienced technicians, you will assist with scheduled maintenance, inspections, data collection, and documentation, ensuring proper tool and equipment readiness and contributing to a strong safety culture across the site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certificate or associate degree in renewable energy technology or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in renewable energy installations or maintenance preferred.
• Experience with wind turbine technology is preferred (Vestas, GE, Acciona, Nordex).
• Work experience in operations/maintenance for power generation is desirable.
• Participation in ongoing professional development and safety training is beneficial.
• Knowledge of EHS policies and procedures including LOTO and JHA.

Responsibilities

• Support safe execution of operations and maintenance activities in accordance with site policies and EHS requirements.
• Demonstrate proactive safety behavior and follow safety protocols.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of renewable energy systems and BoP equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections, troubleshooting, and data collection to monitor performance.
• Support senior technicians in diagnosing and resolving issues.
• Maintain records and documentation of maintenance activities and project tasks.
• Collaborate with team and contribute to maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Participate in ongoing training to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• On-call readiness and timely response as required.
