Job summary

EDPR NA seeks a Site Lead Technician to oversee on-site wind energy operations, maintenance, and repairs at one generation site. You will lead up to 10 Field Service Technicians and collaborate with contractors, Central Maintenance, and Performance Analysis to optimize plant performance.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues from schematics, performing mechanical/electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of college or technical school education or equivalent training.
• 2–5 years experience in wind energy or related industry.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, SQL Server, facility management and reporting systems.
• Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment and heavy facility tools.
• Experience with power plant operations and turbines preferred.
• Analytical problem solving and strong communication skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of up to 10 field technicians; plan schedules and mentor.
• Ensure operation and maintenance of wind turbines and related equipment.
• Identify improvement opportunities in processes and safety.
• Review reports, work orders, SAP, QA/QC inspections.
• Coordinate with internal and external resources to resolve issues.
• Read schematics to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure safety compliance.
