Job summary

Nordex USA, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to ensure safe, efficient operation of wind turbine generators at the Ethridge, MT wind farm. The role involves maintenance, repairs, and supporting 24/7 operations with rotating shifts and on-call duties.

You will work with high‑voltage equipment, read schematics, and document all activities. The position requires a high school diploma, minimal wind experience, and willingness to travel for training and site coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Wind/technical/engineering training preferred.
• 0–1 year wind industry experience.
• Ability to work with medium/high‑voltage equipment certification.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders daily.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain wind turbine generators and related equipment at the wind farm.
• Support 24/7 wind farm operations, including rotations, overtime and on-call duties.
• Perform safety analyses and review hazards before work on-site.
• Assist in root cause analyses to determine equipment failures.
• Complete maintenance documentation and plan reports.
• Read electrical/hydraulic schematics and interpret them.
• Organize work, meet deadlines, and communicate with Site Leads.
• Represent Nordex USA, Inc. professionally and safely.
