Job summary

Nordex SE in Ethridge, MT is seeking a Service Technician I to ensure the safe and efficient operation of wind turbine generators and to support maintenance and service activities at our wind farm. You will follow established procedures and safety standards while working with the field team to maximize uptime and reliability.

Daily duties include routine maintenance, basic repairs, documenting work, and assisting with troubleshooting under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical, wind energy, or engineering education preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in wind energy, industrial maintenance, mechanical, electrical, construction, or related field.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine wind turbine maintenance and basic repairs following established procedures.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving equipment issues under the guidance of experienced technicians.
• Complete maintenance reports, track work activities, and manage service tickets.
• Support inventory and material management, including receiving, organizing, and tracking parts and tools.
• Prepare tools, materials, and documentation needed for scheduled work.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE inspections and incident reporting.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and turbine performance.
• Work closely with team members and support additional site operations as needed.
