Job summary

Invenergy operates the Miami Wind Energy Center in Texas, a large-scale wind power facility, and seeks an Operations & Maintenance Manager to oversee daily performance, safety, and compliance. The role requires coordinating maintenance, staff supervision, and liaison with customers and suppliers.

The position emphasizes strong leadership, technical expertise, and hands-on involvement with wind turbine maintenance, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and reliable energy delivery to the grid.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of supervisory experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communications.
• Ability to work outdoors and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the day to day operation of the facility in a safe and environmentally sound manner.
• Prepare and implement plant operating and maintenance procedures ensuring compliance with all Federal, State and Local requirements.
• Recruit, select, train and manage plant operating, maintenance and administrative staff.
• Prepare annual operating budgets and periodic status reports.
• Interface and coordinate with local customers and suppliers.
• Procure parts, materials, services and support resolution of technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with all project safety, environmental and contractual responsibilities.
• Provide a high level of professionalism and technical expertise.
• Perform routine Quality Assurance checks of wind technician work.
• Assist wind technicians from time to time in various wind turbine maintenance.
• Respond to on-site emergencies, including outside of normal working hours, according tosafety policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
