Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager (Renewable Energy) focused on shadow flicker and environmental compliance for wind projects. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage projects, and ensure regulatory permitting.

The role requires 5+ years in wind energy with strong communication, and expertise with GIS tools such as WindPRO/ArcGIS. Travel and Midwest focus may be involved.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience with cross-functional coordination.
• Proficiency in shadow flicker modeling and GIS software.
• Strong communication, leadership and technical writing skills.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage shadow flicker assessments across multiple wind energy projects.
• Oversee modeling and analysis using WindPRO, ArcGIS, or similar software.
• Coordinate with client engineering, siting, and permitting teams to optimize turbine layouts.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies with clients.
• Prepare and review technical documentation for shadow flicker impacts and permitting.
• Present at public meetings and testify as expert witness for shadow flicker projects.
• Serve as primary contact for shadow flicker inquiries from clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to expand opportunities in the Midwest.
• Identify and pursue environmental permitting projects and opportunities in the Midwest.
