Job summary

GE Vernova Wind is seeking a Wind Engineering Intern to join the Salem, VA design team for a hands-on internship from May through August 2027. You will support electrical systems design, firmware, controls, PCB, mechanical design, or lab validation for wind turbine blade pitch and power converter systems.

Open to rising undergraduate seniors or graduating master's students with a strong interest in renewables, with on-site work in Salem, VA and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in full-time undergrad or grad program in an engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university.
• Eligible majors include Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering; other engineering fields may be considered.
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship and on-site in Salem, VA.

Responsibilities

• Work in Electrical Systems Design, Firmware, Controls, PCB, Mechanical Design, or Lab Validation.
• Assist in design and development of wind turbine Blade Pitch and Power Converter systems.
• Operate in a hands-on lab with megawatt-level power conversion equipment and build-to-print hardware.
