Job summary

GE Vernova Wind is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern in Salem, VA to join the Product Development team, exploring Electrical Systems, Firmware, Controls, PCB, Mechanical Design, and Lab Validation. You will work in a hands-on lab to develop blade pitch and power conversion systems for megawatt-scale equipment.

Ideal candidates are rising undergraduate seniors or graduating master's students from ABET‑accredited programs in Electrical, Computer, Controls, or Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a full‑time undergraduate or graduate program in an ABET accredited engineering discipline.
• Eligible majors include Electrical, Computer, Controls, Mechanical Engineering; other engineering majors may be considered.
• Must have the ability to work in the US for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship
• Must be able to work on-site in Salem, VA. Relocation assistance provided.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of wind turbine blade pitch control systems and power converter systems.
• Work in a hands-on lab environment with equipment for full-scale testing of megawatt-level power conversion equipment.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Electrical Systems, Firmware, Controls, PCB, Mechanical Design, and Lab Validation.
• Contribute to schematics, drawings, and hardware that GE Vernova will take through lifecycle stages.
