The United States Forest Service is seeking a Firefighter to join a National Forest fire crew. The role focuses on wildland fire suppression, management and control as a specialized firefighter, operating and maintaining fire tools and equipment.

Applicants must meet qualification standards including FFT1 and S-290, and may qualify via a 4-year degree in Fire Science or related fields. The position requires physical fitness, ability to work on a crew, and compliance with the Drug Free Workplace

Formación

• FFT1 core requirement completed.
• S-290 core requirement completed.

Responsabilidades

• Patrolling areas of controlled fires to mop-up and extinguish remaining burning material.
• Serving on a specialty crew (hotshot, helitack, engines, etc.) to suppress fires.
• Operating specialized fire suppression equipment such as portable pumps or drip torches.
