Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-4.
• Successful completion of a 4-year course in Fire Science/Fire Training/Fire Technology or related field is qualifying for GW-5.
• Combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Operate engine, pump and controls under supervision.
• Perform regular maintenance and minor repairs on fire engine.
• Serve as a wildland firefighter on an organized crew during prescribed burns, monitoring fire behavior.
