Job summary

Seneca Global Services, LLC is seeking a full-time Wildland Fire Support Specialist to assist ODASA(ESOH) by maturing and overseeing Army wildland-fire management efforts. The role spans policy, technical, and administrative support across Active Army, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve components.

The candidate will analyze IWFMP workflows, draft policy responses, and develop practical materials for installation personnel, while coordinating with interagency partners and training events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in fire ecology, fire science, forestry, rangeland science, wildlife/natural resource management, environmental science, emergency management, or related field.
• 7–10 years of professional wildland-fire experience including work on federal, military, state, or interagency lands.
• Knowledge of federal wildland-fire policy and NWCG/interagency standards.
• Familiarity with Army/DoD natural-resource programs and related plans (IWFMPs/INRMPs).
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to write policy-quality products.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and oversight of Army Regulation wildland-fire guidance.
• Analyze IWFMP determination workflows, including waivers and approvals.
• Roll out wildland-fire guidance to commands and installations.
• Draft responses to technical and policy questions from Army commands.
• Translate fire-management terminology for installation personnel.
• Develop communications products for wildland-fire audiences.
• Assist with development of standardized occupational series and medical/fitness standards.
• Coordinate with federal, state, tribal, and interagency partners.
