Job summary

Seneca Global Services, LLC is seeking a full-time Conservation Support Specialist to support the Army's environment and safety program. You will provide regulatory analysis, policy guidance, and technical support for ESA compliance, INRMPs, and large-scale conservation initiatives.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in wildlife biology or related field, 8–10 years of experience, GIS and quantitative analysis skills, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in wildlife biology, ecology, conservation biology, biology, natural resource management, environmental science, forestry, geography/GIS, or a closely related field; master's preferred.
• 8-10 years of professional experience in natural resource conservation, Endangered Species Act compliance, or military/federal land management.
• ESA Section 7 experience with Biological Assessments/Opinions included.
• Experience developing, revising, implementing, or reviewing INRMPs or equivalent plans.
• Experience with military or federal natural resource programs and integrated land management.
• GIS usage and quantitative analysis (R or Python) to support decisions and briefing.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to work with senior leaders, partner agencies, and technical staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory analysis and technical guidance related to the Endangered Species Act, wildland fire management, natural resource management, and INRMP integration.
• Identify emerging environmental policy requirements, implementation tools, and partnership opportunities.
• Support implementation and expansion of the Defined Conservation Commitment framework.
• Assist Army installations with incorporating DCC requirements into INRMPs.
• Support scoping, planning, and execution of large-scale conservation and resilience projects.
• Establish and maintain relationships with federal/state agencies, NGOs, academic researchers, and private-sector partners.
• Convene stakeholders and facilitate solutions related to environmental adaptation, climate encroachment, and land-use issues.
