Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks a Deputy Director for Wildfire Long-Term Recovery Programs in Los Angeles. This full-time, term-limited role oversees day-to-day operations across the Long-Term Recovery portfolio, ensuring projects stay on track to meet community recovery goals.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in related work and at least 3 years of supervisory experience, with strong MS Office skills and a collaborative, data-informed approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred; minimum 5 years related experience.
• Minimum 3 years as supervisor or manager of workforce engaged in direct client contact in an outcomes-based social-services environment.
• Strong skills in community organizing, case management and/or partner-agency relations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management and administrative operations across the Long-Term Recovery portfolio.
• Support execution and follow-through on current operational priorities and maintain momentum as new operations are absorbed.
• Manage internal team processes, workflows, and administrative systems for consistent execution across multiple concurrent operations.
• Track and monitor progress against operational goals and deliverables; flag risks or delays for leadership.
• Coordinate scheduling, staffing logistics, and deployment planning across operations.
