RUCKUS Networks, a CommScope business, is looking for a talented Wi-Fi Design Engineer to design, model, and optimize high-performance wireless networks as part of our Professional Services Team. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle—from pre-sales consultation to post-sales support—ensuring reliable and scalable solutions. Working closely with internal teams and clients, you will help shape designs, drive system improvements, and solve complex connectivity challenges. Responsibilities:

• Build 3D stadium/arena models in iBwave.
• Execute project activities including Site Survey, EM survey, RF Audit, Wi-Fi RF design, Mesh Design, Link Budgets, Propagation testing, supporting site acquisition efforts, and generating all related reports, bills of material, etc.
• Perform ATP, commissioning, special customer training, installation supervision, and related technical reporting as needed.
• Prepare pre-sale and post-sale technical documents related to design concepts and approaches.
• Design RF networks using RF Planning tools, perform link budget analysis, propagate model tuning for coverage analysis, and optimize network performance.
• Proficient with drawing tools such as Visio, AutoCAD, and other graphic tools.
• Support trial testing, including site selection, developing procedures, technical assistance, data collection, and testing reports.
• Test third-party products for system solutions.
• Create new product definitions for iBwave and other tools.
• Maintain and update in-house tools as technical standards evolve.
• Conduct vendor research, select and test complementary products and accessories, and manage integrations.
• Discuss designs with customers, create presentation materials, and write technical papers supporting design and test methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent, with 8-10 years of experience, strong RF network architecture skills, propagation simulation, and performance modeling. Experience with lab and field test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, Wi-Fi survey tools, and sniffers.
• Experience creating sophisticated 3D models in iBwave.
• Proficiency with Ekahau Pro, iBwave Design, Propagation, and Optimization; Level 3 certification is a plus.
• Extensive experience with Wi-Fi and other RLAN equipment.
• Practical experience in designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting wireless broadband and Wi-Fi networks.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• Ability to prepare reports and technical documents for publication.
• Effective presentation skills.

Our salary ranges consider various factors including benchmarking, skill sets, experience, education, geography, and business needs. The expected total compensation for this role is $135,600.00–$176,200.00, depending on experience.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), and participation in the Incentive Plan, along with paid holidays, vacation, and other leave options.
