Job summary

Amentum seeks a WIDS Specialist Level I to support Wireless Intrusion Detection System operations for the Skywalker program. Under senior staff, you will administer the Bastille WIDS platform, assist in Monitoring & Response activities, analyze wireless threats, and help ensure compliance with DoD/IC directives.

The role requires baseline RF theory, DoD/IC protocol familiarity, strong communication, and the ability to work with a geographically separated team.

Qualifications

• Baseline knowledge of RF theory and wireless protocols.
• Familiarity with wireless security monitoring or TSCM concepts.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to learn WIDS technologies, monitoring procedures, and security policies.
• Ability to travel worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day WIDS operations using the Bastille platform.
• Monitor wireless environments and assist in identifying unauthorized RF activity.
• Assist with M&R activities and incident reporting.
• Operate wireless monitoring and direction-finding equipment under the guidance of senior personnel.
• Maintain operational documentation, logs, and reporting records.
• Coordinate with WIDS Specialists and engineering teams to support system operations.
• Follow established operating procedures and security requirements.
• Support system deployments, testing, and operational readiness activities.
