Job summary

State of Florida in Nassau County is seeking a HEALTH SUPPORT SPECIALIST to provide WIC enrollment services, enter data into FL-WiSE, prevent duplicates, and schedule family appointments.

You will issue WIC benefits, orient new clients to rights and policies, collect anthropometric and immunization data, refer to social services, and perform administrative duties while maintaining accurate inventories.

Qualifications

• Willingness to provide coverage at all Nassau WIC sites
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to lift at least 35 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provides WIC enrollment services – interviewing potentially eligible clients and entering all WIC information into FL-WiSE
• Performs WIC benefits issuance and orients new clients to WIC rights, obligations, and EBT usage
• Schedules return appointments and informs clients about required recertification information
• Obtains anthropometric and hematological data and reviews immunization information for accuracy
