Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Clewiston seeks a Health Support Specialist to determine eligibility and enroll clients in the WIC program, perform certification screens, and maintain electronic records. You will support nutrition staff, issue WIC EBT cards, and assist with nutrition education.

Responsibilities include obtaining anthropometric measurements, conducting hemoglobin testing, and coordinating with vendors. Working hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with potential emergency duties.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of WIC program policies and procedures.
• Ability to transcribe and maintain client records.
• Ability to use health information systems and EBT policies.

Responsibilities

• Determine eligibility and enroll clients in the WIC program.
• Complete WIC certification screens and maintain electronic records.
• Issue WIC EBT cards and instruct clients on use of the EBT card.
• Obtain anthropometric measurements and conduct basic screening.
• Refer clients to community resources and assist with nutrition education.
