Job summary

Optimus Health Care of Stamford, CT is seeking a WIC Eligibility & Program Specialist to support client flow within the Nutrition Services team. You will greet clients, explain WIC benefits, collect data, and help certify eligibility in CT-WIC while maintaining confidentiality.

This role collaborates with Nutritionists and the Director of Nutrition Services to ensure accurate documentation, timely processing, and responsive client service in a busy clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Experience: At least two years in a medical office or one year in a WIC setting preferred.
• Language: Ability to communicate clearly in English and another language when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and manage the flow of people at the WIC office.
• Explain WIC services, benefits, and policies to clients.
• Assist in the certification of WIC applicants by interviewing and collecting demographic data and entering into CT-WIC.
• Assign eWIC cards and replace them per state guidelines.
• Maintain participant confidentiality and accurate documentation.
