Job summary

Optimus Health Care in Stamford, CT seeks a Full-Time WIC Nutritionist (35 hours/week) to support families with nutrition education and breastfeeding guidance. You will conduct assessments, tailor formulas, and document in the CT-WIC system.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in healthcare or community setting (preferred).
• Strong computer and data entry skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and identify participant needs.
• Provide personalized nutrition education, counseling, and breastfeeding support.
• Help families set and achieve realistic health and nutrition goals.
• Tailor WIC food packages based on individual needs and guidelines.
• Ensure accurate certification and compliance with program standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare and social service providers through referrals.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the CT-WIC system.
• Promote breastfeeding as the preferred infant feeding method.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
