Job summary

Community Action Partnerships of Western Nebraska (CAPWN) seeks a WIC Intake Clerk to process client intake, verify eligibility and schedule visits. You will explain benefits, manage data entry in the WIC system and support offsite clinics, while maintaining HIPAA-compliant privacy.

The role is office-based with occasional travel to satellite clinics; 90% office work, 10% travel, typical hours 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Tuesday to Thursday, with flexibility discussed at interview.

Qualifications

• Proficient communication with diverse clients.
• Clear English written and spoken communication.
• CPR training or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Check in WIC clients and complete intake with data entry into WIC system.
• Schedule appointments and update client information.
• Explain WIC benefits and issue benefits when needed.
• Assist with offsite clinics and other clerical duties.
• Maintain confidentiality of PHI and ePHI per HIPAA.
