Job summary

State of Florida – Marion County Health Department is seeking an OPS Nutrition Educator to support the WIC and Breastfeeding programs in Ocala. You will answer calls, help clients schedule appointments, and input data into FL-WISE; travel may be required with your own vehicle. Emergency duties during disasters are possible.

Required: BS in Nutrition or Dietetics and a valid driver's license; willingness to travel. Preferred: experience in nutrition counseling and WIC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Driver License.
• Willingness to travel to clinics using own vehicle.
• Experience with nutrition counseling, assessments and care plans preferred.
• Experience with the WIC program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer multi-line phone calls and input information into the FL-WISE system.
• Triage calls to program staff for timely handling and assist clients with appointments.
• Support the WIC/Breastfeeding programs and promote teamwork in a diverse environment.
