Job summary

State of Florida’s Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County is seeking a nutritionist for the WIC program to assist clients with nutrition care plans and WIC services. The role requires certifying clients, documenting in the Florida-Wise EMR, and coordinating with clinic staff to ensure quality nutrition care.

Applicants must have a bachelor's or master's in nutrition/public health nutrition, a valid U.S. driver’s license, and strong data-entry/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in nutritional science, community nutrition, clinical nutrition, dietetics, and/or public health nutrition required per Florida codes.
Valid U.S. Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Certifies clients for participation in the WIC program per state policies and DHM 150-24.
Develops, monitors and revises nutrition notes and care plans for high/low risk clients.
Documents in Florida-Wise EMR using SOAP notes for high-risk care plans.
Produces nutrition education materials and participates in outreach events.
