Job summary

The Resource Connection of Amador & Calaveras Counties Inc. is seeking a bilingual Spanish-speaking Nutrition Aide for its WIC program. The front desk role greets participants, answers phones, and assists with scheduling at WIC sites.

Occasional travel to Calaveras and Amador counties is required. This full-time position runs Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance and PTO; 12 paid holidays and EAP.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of office experience handling multi-line phone system.
• Basic knowledge of computers: word processing, spreadsheets, email and Internet use.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet participants at the front desk in person or by phone.
• Answer phones and assist with scheduling and inquiries.
• Assist staff and participants at WIC sites; travel to off-site locations as needed.

Job description

The Resource Connection of Amador and Calaveras's Women, Infants & Children Program is looking to hire a bilingual Spanish speaking (Preferable) front desk Nutrition Aide who is friendly, reliable, hard-working, and enthusiastic about helping others. Our Nutrition Assistant will be the first point of contact greeting participants either by phone or in person at various Women, Infants & Children, WIC sites. Our Aide will travel three days a week with other staff to off sites, in Calaveras and Amador counties.

Full-Time Position: Monday - Thursday 8:30am to 5:00 pm

Pay Range: $16.90 - $23.00

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Minimum one-year office experience handling multi-line phone system
• Basic knowledge of computer including word processing, spreadsheets, email and Internet use
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Successfully complete 40 hours of breastfeeding training within three months of hire

Special Requirements

• Valid California Driver's License and proof of current automobile insurance coverage
• Criminal record clearance
• Willingness to work irregular hours and attend night meetings and travel as required by the organization
• Required travels between agency locations in Calaveras and Amador Counties and out-of-area, year-round, under all weather conditions.
