Job summary

The City of Lincoln/Lancaster County Health Department is seeking a dedicated WIC program professional to collect and analyze client health and nutrition data, guide clients toward improved nutritional status, and deliver nutrition education to individuals and groups.

Responsibilities include education and counseling, record upkeep for program compliance, and providing breastfeeding support, with occasional evenings and a 24-hour-per-week schedule for a grant-funded position.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in nutrition or related field, or equivalent training/experience.
• Current registration as a dietitian or ability to obtain registration within four months of hire.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Hours: 24 hours per week Permanent Position - Occasional evening hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and assess client health and nutrition information.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to WIC participants.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure program compliance.
• Provide breastfeeding support and education.
