East Central District Health Department/Good Neighbor Community Health Center is seeking a WIC Nutritionist to assess nutritional status, certify participants, and provide education. You will design personalized food packages, promote breastfeeding, and connect families to resources in Columbus and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities include documenting education plans, using the Journey system, and collaborating with the WIC team. Travel to Columbus, Schuyler, and St.

Qualifications

• Active professional licensure in Nebraska (LPN/RN) or RD path.
• Bachelor's degree in nutrition-related field per ad text.
• RD eligibility or related coursework/experience as specified in ad.

Responsabilités

• Assess nutritional status and certify WIC participants.
• Prepare and design WIC food packages and issue benefits.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling.
• Promote and support breastfeeding and referrals to services.
• Attend trainings to stay current on policies.

Active LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) or RN (Registered Nurse) Nebraska license

Registered Dietitian or RD eligible

Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (Public Health, Home Economics/Consumer & Family Sciences)

Bachelor’s Degree with minimum of 15 hours of coursework in human nutrition OR 9 hours of course work in human nutrition AND 2 years of work experience related to nutrition educations
