Job summary

The Nash County WIC Program is seeking a Clinical Support Representative/Breastfeeding Peer Counselor to provide clerical support, eligibility processing, and breastfeeding counseling for pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children up to age five.

Responsibilities include issuing NC e-WIC cards, maintaining records in Crossroads and Patagonia, scheduling appointments, completing reports, and providing breastfeeding guidance and referrals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of clerical experience preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required for client interaction and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Issue NC e-WIC cards and process WIC applications.
• Maintain and secure WIC records, cards, and related materials.
• Schedule appointments and document missed visits; prepare reports.
• Assist breastfeeding clients with counseling, education, and referrals.
• Record keeping for program activity and outreach efforts.
