Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Wi-Fi Software Engineer for Starlink to help deliver an outstanding end-to-end user experience. You will work on Wi‑Fi software across kernel‑level performance, mesh optimization, and cross‑team collaboration with RF/EE engineers.

You will mentor peers, contribute to test procedures, and help evolve deployment tooling and data analysis within a continuous integration and release system. Remote work options are not specified; on-site responsibilities are implied.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or STEM with 1+ year of software development experience, or 3+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
• 1+ year development experience in C or C++.
• Experience with IEEE 802.11 wireless standard and networking protocols (UDP, TCP/IP).
• Experience working on embedded software for networking equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive the Wi‑Fi software and product roadmap.
• Debug and optimize kernel-level system performance.
• Collaborate with RF and EE engineers to improve testing procedures for software and hardware.
• Mentor software engineers and contribute to a positive engineering culture.
• Improve Wi‑Fi mesh performance.
• Invent tools to enable more frequent and reliable software deployment, testing, and data analysis within CI/CD.
