Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Wi-Fi Software Engineer for Starlink to advance the Wi-Fi software stack powering the world’s largest satellite broadband system. You will shape the end-to-end user experience, work across kernel, networking, and device software, and align with product goals.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with RF/EE teams, and drive testing and deployment improvements while embracing a fast-paced, high-ambition environment at our Texas facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in software development; or 7+ years without degree.
• 3+ years development in C/C++
• Experience with IEEE 802.11 and networking protocols (UDP, TCP/IP)
• Embedded software experience for networking equipment

Responsibilities

• Drive the Wi-Fi software and product roadmap
• Debug and optimize kernel-level system performance
• Collaborate with RF and EE engineers to improve testing
• Mentor software engineers and build a great work culture
• Improve Wi-Fi mesh performance
• Invent tools for CI, testing, data analysis in release system
