Job summary

Amazon seeks a Principal Program Manager to lead the WHS Strategy team, owning the strategic planning cycle and delivering executive-ready narratives to senior leaders across the organization.

You will synthesize inputs from WHS teams, manage executive documents with rigor, and align safety priorities with operations, engineering, and technology while communicating complex safety concepts clearly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
• 5+ years of program or project management experience
• 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
• Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Communications, Supply Chain or related field of study.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end strategic planning lifecycle for WHS, including developing 1 to 3 year roadmaps, OP1/OP2, and recurring executive reviews at monthly, quarterly, and annual cadences
• Draft content into a single, unified voice reflecting the WHS leader's perspective with consistent messaging
• Author and manage the WHS executive-level documents with analytical rigor and strategic alignment
• Partner with operations, engineering, and technology across Amazon to integrate safety priorities into strategic plans
• Design and govern mechanisms for reporting safety data to leadership, including data lock processes
• Identify opportunities to modernize safety data visualization for decision-makers at all levels
• Manage the enterprise planning calendar and coordinate inputs from WHS field teams and stakeholders globally
• Translate complex operational programs into clear content for executive audiences
• Translating complex safety concepts into clear, concise content for executives and non-specialists
