Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC invites applicants to a 10-week Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) internship at a Network Distribution Center in the United States. You will learn OSHA-10, First Aid/CPR/AED, technical writing and project management basics while contributing to safety projects across first mile to last mile operations.

Strong communication and analytical skills are essential. Top performers may receive a full-time opportunity after graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree with an expected completion date between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Pursuing a degree in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Health & Safety, Safety Management, or related field.
• Strong communication skills; ability to comfortably interact with and influence stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Excel, Project and Outlook.
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
• Exposure to Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation/logistics and/or fulfillment/distribution centers.

Responsibilities

• Work with various Workplace Health and Safety Teams and other WHS interns on a safety related project.
• Research, interpret and share data to support a safety related recommendation as part of your final project that will be presented to senior leadership.
• Assist in designing, building, improving, and innovating order fulfillment safety programs, projects, initiatives, and other elements of the Workplaces Health & Safety organization across the three lanes (first mile, middle mile, and last mile) of Amazon’s fulfillment infrastructure.
• Learn about and work with other functional teams (Operations, RME, Central Teams, Human Resources, Transportation Operations, and others) in the planning and execution of your assigned project.
• Develop and expand your professional network by participating in WHS Intern activities and events.
