Job summary

Amazon is offering a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) internship in Rockford, IL. This 10-week, full-time program provides hands-on safety projects, OSHA10 onboarding, First Aid/CPR/AED training, and interaction with cross-functional teams across fulfillment centers.

You will analyze data, design safety programs, and present findings to leadership; relocation or housing support is available, with potential for full-time opportunities upon graduation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree with expected completion between December 2027 and August 2028.
• Interest in safety-related employment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work with WHS teams and interns on safety-related projects.
• Research, interpret and share data to support safety recommendations.
• Assist in designing and improving safety programs across Amazon’s fulfillment infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Operations, RME, HR and other teams during project planning.
• Develop professional network by participating in WHS intern activities.
