Mercor is recruiting experienced Sales Representatives with a background in technical or scientific products to contribute to cutting-edge AI training projects.

As an independent contractor, you’ll apply your deep knowledge of technical sales processes to help design realistic customer interactions, product demos, and industry-specific scenarios that support the development of advanced AI systems.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience selling complex or technical products in fields like electronics, biotechnology, engineering systems, or industrial equipment
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales cycles, including lead qualification, solution consultation, and closing technical product deals
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, quoting systems, and sales documentation (e.g., product specs, compliance sheets, or solution briefs)
  • Ability to translate technical product features into customer value propositions and communicate with both procurement and engineering stakeholders
  • Background in a technical or scientific field (e.g., associate’s degree or higher in biology, chemistry, engineering, or electronics)

What You’ll Do:

  • Create realistic sales prompts involving technical demos, handling objections, or drafting follow-up communications
  • Simulate consultative sales conversations, compliance queries, and solution design discussions with technical buyers
  • Help AI researchers understand the nuances of selling scientific and technical products — from understanding spec sheets to aligning with industry regulations
  • Review and refine AI-generated content to improve its accuracy and alignment with real-world B2B technical sales workflows
