TITLE: Wholesale Food Sales Rep
TYPE: Direct Hire
LOCATION: FL
ONSITE/REMOTE/HYBRID: Remote with regional travel to visit prospects and clients.
START DATE: May/June 2025
SHIFT: 1 st Shift, M-F


The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting company products and services while cultivating long-term relationships with both new and existing customers. This role focuses on driving customer success through tailored solutions, aligning with company objectives for sales growth and profitability. The successful candidate will be proactive in territory development, responsive to client needs, and committed to delivering value through expert knowledge of products and the competitive landscape.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop new business opportunities and grow existing accounts to meet territory sales targets
  • Identify and qualify prospects in alignment with company account strategies
  • Assess customer needs to recommend appropriate product and service solutions
  • Monitor market trends and advise customers on offerings that support their business goals
  • Maintain current knowledge of market conditions, product innovations, and competitor activities
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding product features, pricing, availability, and application
  • Provide training and product training to customer personnel as needed
  • Travel to client sites, industry events, and internal meetings using a personal vehicle
  • Manage accounts receivable collections in coordination with the credit team
  • Oversee customer deliveries and troubleshoot fulfillment issues as they arise
  • Represent the company at customer events and internal promotional functions
  • Attend regular sales and district meetings and participate in ongoing training
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members when required
  • Analyze sales performance and market data, including special orders and gross margin reports
  • Handle administrative functions such as sales reporting, budget preparation, credit processing, and quoting

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma is required, college degree is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in wholesale food outside sales experience
  • Driver's license, clean driving record, car insurance and your own vehicle to use for work (you'll be reimbursed for mileage)
