Job summary

City National Bank of Florida seeks a Wholesale Portfolio Risk Officer to oversee credit risk in the commercial portfolio. You will lead underwriting, structuring, and preparing credit packages for review and approval, while maintaining policy and guidelines.

You will manage a high-volume portfolio, analyze cash flows, monitor renewals, and collaborate with relationship managers to align data, trends, and risk with bank strategy.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of small business banking credit risk and some small business lending experience.
• Completion of formal credit training.
• Strong communication and analytical/technical skills including financial accounting and loan structuring.
• Demonstrated business calling and negotiation experience.
• Exposure to multiple business lines with experience handling more complex transactions.
• Good interpersonal skills to work with banking professionals, risk staff, clients and auditors.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Commercial and Industrial loans and real estate renewals, opening of new loans.
• Make decisions within lending authority with independent cash flow analysis.
• Manage wholesale risk portfolios and monitor renewals, servicing events and covenant checks.
• Prepare credit structures and final recommendations per bank policies and guidelines.
• Interface with relationship managers to develop a consistent view of portfolio trends.
• Drive analysis of business risks and portfolio profitability.
• Coordinate financial statement requirements and delivery timelines with clients.
