Job summary

Lexus LC is seeking an experienced Wholesale Parts Counterperson with a strong background in automotive parts and customer service. The role requires handling sales, inventory, and wholesale accounts, with emphasis on accurate part identification, ordering, and delivery coordination.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in automotive parts, dealership experience preferred, and is proficient with ADP software. Spanish fluency is a plus, and a professional, team-oriented demeanor is essential.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience with automotive parts and accessories, preferably in a dealership.
• Lexus experience is a plus.
• Experience with ADP software is a plus.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Enter purchased items into sales/inventory system to complete sales.
• Maintain and solicit wholesale accounts by phone and in person.
• Take customer orders, identify parts, and offer alternatives.
• Maintain parts inventory and place orders when needed.
• Coordinate deliveries with drivers for wholesale accounts.
• Obtain field quotes and orders for online programs.
• Receive returns and process credits and re-stocking.
• Uphold safety and security standards and comply with codes.
• Pursue ongoing product knowledge and training.
• Track all incoming and outgoing parts for wholesale accounts.
• Collaborate with wholesale account representatives to ensure inventory availability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

TheWholesaleParts Counterpersonis extremely knowledgeable about automotive parts and accessories and can accurately answer questions and satisfy customer requirements in person or on the phone. He or she locates automotive parts within the current inventory or from other sources (such as the internet, vendors, other dealerships, etc.) and arranges for delivery and installation.

The ideal candidate has at two years of experience with automotive parts and accessories, preferably in a dealership. He or she must have a pleasant and courteous personality, strong customer service and organizational skills, strong phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with ADP software and fluency in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes sales by entering purchased items into sales/inventory system, obtaining payment, adding purchase to credit account, and issuing sales receipts.
• Maintains and solicits wholesale accounts in person and by telephone. Keeps the Parts Manager informed on the status of all accounts.
• Takes customer orders and clarifies requests, identifies automotive parts, and offers and explains alternative solutions.
• Maintains parts inventory by verifying supplies and placing orders when order-points are reached.
• Works with delivery drivers to coordinate deliveries. To wholesale accounts.
• Obtain field quotes & orders for multiple online programs.
• Receives returned items by inspecting items, returning payment, issuing credit, re-packing and re-shelving items, and returning damaged items to supplier.
• Maintains safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures and complying with codes.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading about new products.
• Tracking all incoming and outgoing parts for a wholesale account.
• Working with the wholesale account representatives to ensure inventory is available when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5 + years' experience (dealership experience preferred).
• Lexus experience a PLUS!!
• Excellent Computer Skills.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Business to Business experience a Plus!
• Excellent telephone and customer service skills
• Inventory control experience.
• Must have a desire to work in a commission and performance-based environment.
