Job summary

Risk Placement Services, Inc. (RPS) seeks a dynamic sales-focused professional to connect Retail Agents with national markets and drive revenue growth through underwriting solutions and strong carrier partnerships.

You will build and maintain relationships, qualify opportunities, and stay ahead of market trends to deliver tailored insurance solutions. A Bachelor's degree and P&C license (or intent to obtain) are required, with 3+ years of sales or underwriting experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience.
Home state P&C license (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).
Sales experience in insurance or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Prospect and develop new business through networking with Retail Agents and Carrier Underwriters.
Market and sell wholesale insurance solutions to achieve production goals.
Build strong relationships with Specialty Carriers for competitive pricing and access to coverage.
Pre-qualify submissions and focus on high-probability sales opportunities following Carrier guidelines.
Analyze submissions from Retail Agents to determine best carrier, coverage, forms, and premium.
Gather information on client risks to identify additional exposures for quotes.
Stay ahead of industry trends affecting underwriting guidelines and pricing.
Educate partners on RPS’s range of risk solutions as business needs evolve.
Lead, train, and oversee support team when assigned.
Travel as needed to engage with clients.
