Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking a Wholesale Fashion Sales Assistant to support sales, merchandising, and administrative tasks for its men's brand wholesale portfolio with Saks and Neiman Marcus. You will collaborate with senior sales professionals to drive seasonal events, maintain buyer relationships, and ensure smooth wholesale operations.

Responsibilities include order processing, showroom sample management, market prep, and preparing timely reports.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in the wholesale fashion industry or related non-retail fashion environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and initiative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with proactive follow-up.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and stay organized to completion.
• Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new responsibilities.
• Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced office while managing multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with BlueCherry and EDI systems is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Fashion or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support to the Account Executive with daily sales activities and customer service initiatives.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with buyers and assistant buyers at key retail accounts.
• Process orders accurately and efficiently, including order entry, purchase orders, and EDI transactions.
• Communicate with retail partners regarding deadlines, order updates, and time-sensitive matters.
• Photograph merchandise for sales appointments, line sheets, and samples shipments.
• Organize and track showroom samples with accurate inventory records.
• Support seasonal market preparation, including showroom organization and setup for visits.
• Attend showroom meetings and document key discussion points and follow-up items.
• Coordinate preparation, shipment, and tracking of market materials and samples for retail customers.
• Create and update Excel spreadsheets to monitor upcoming purchases, sales activity, and inventory.
• Assist with basic sales reporting, retail analysis, and calculations.
• Keep brand inventory records and seasonal reference books current.
• Compile and distribute weekly selling reports using data from retail partners.
• Contribute to additional sales department projects as needed.
