Responsibilities:
- Own the P&L of the department; accountable for achieving sales and margin goals.
- Define and present sales and merchandising strategies to grow the business.
- Forecast seasonally and up to 3-year growth plans. Allocate targets by account and product category.
- Plan to deliver on short- and long-term sales goals across all accounts.
- Organize and oversee three sales markets annually.
- Collaborate with internal teams to create master style lists—confirming sizes, materials, naming conventions, pricing, etc.
- Create digital line sheets using various B2B systems; partner with marketing to develop look books.
- Schedule and conduct sales appointments with current accounts and prospective clients—both in person and virtually.
- Travel to trade shows as needed; discuss budgets, sell-thru, terms, exclusives, and follow up for final order approvals.
- Work with CEO and Logistics Director to ensure minimums and targets are met; cut all final wholesale POs.
- Leverage buyer and retailer feedback to identify growth opportunities for key items and categories.
- Forecast sales reorders and evaluate new orders placed outside of market; balance on-hand inventory and write ATS orders.
- Generate seasonal market reports summarizing financial performance, accounts, and product performance.
- Monitor competitor landscape and market trends; recommend new strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Director on wholesale opportunities including social media, digital ads, in-store trunk shows, and events.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree.
- Minimum of 6 years of related sales experience, with established relationships at top-tier retailers.
- Experience in swimwear and international markets is a plus.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including retail math, KPI tracking, budgeting, and P&L management.
- Solid merchandising and business development skills, including negotiation.
- Ability to think strategically while being hands-on.
- Self-motivated with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work effectively in a small, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
