Job summary

Generator Supercenter of Pittsburgh is seeking a Whole Home Generator Installer Apprentice to support installation and service of residential standby generators, focusing on Generac equipment and Gen Mon monitoring integration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude; electrical knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead technicians with installation of Generac whole-home standby generators, including site preparation, placement, wiring and connections.
• Help prepare job sites by gathering tools and materials and ensuring a clean, safe work environment.
• Support basic electrical and mechanical tasks under supervision.
• Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of generator systems.
• Follow all safety procedures, codes and regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles.
• Communicate professionally with team members and customers on-site.

Position Overview

The Whole-Home Generator Installer Apprentice at Generator Supercenter of Pittsburgh plays a key role in supporting the installation and service of residential standby generator systems, primarily focusing on Generac equipment and Gen Mon monitoring integration. This position is designed for individuals eager to build a career in the power generation industry through hands-on training, mentorship, and real-world field experience.

Compensation: $25.00 - $34.00 per hour
