Job summary

Generator Supercenter of Annapolis is seeking an Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Annapolis, MD. You will work alongside our installation and service teams to wire, install, and maintain standby generator systems and related electrical equipment, delivering code‑compliant installations and reliable troubleshooting.

We will fully pay for your electrician schooling to help you earn your Journeyman license while you earn a steady paycheck learning from the best in the business.

Qualifications

• Must hold Journeyman Electrician License or Residential Wireman License.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years residential electrical experience a PLUS.
• Strong knowledge of the NEC (National Electrical Code).
• AC and DC electrical experience preferred.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Comfortable working with tools, conduit benders, and test meters.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various conditions.

Responsibilities

• Pull wire, bend and install conduit, and wire electrical devices and control panels
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• Install electrical components for generator systems including ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches)
• Perform load testing, electrical diagnostics, and troubleshooting
• Assist in preparing generator sites, including trenching, piping, and setting mechanical components
• Conduct AC and DC electrical work for power generation systems
• Use electrical measurement and testing equipment proficiently and safely
• Ensure all installations meet local and national electrical codes
• Promote a safe and positive work environment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership

Position Overview
