Job summary

Glanbia Nutritionals, Inc. in the United States (New Mexico, Clovis area) seeks a Laboratory Operations professional to oversee daily lab testing, report microbial counts, and support QA activities.

You will coordinate lab techs, manage samples, and ensure compliance with GMP, FSMA, and safety rules. The role requires reading safety and procedure manuals, strong teamwork, and leadership to drive timely, accurate analyses and continuous improvements in lab processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred and/or a minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrates experience with laboratory techniques for the measurement of chemical components, microbiological parameters, and sensory attributes.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Practical experience in QA techniques, principles, and adherence to government regulations.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiply projects simultaneously and delegate assignments to others.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the performance of laboratory testing with direct involvement and leadership with lab analysts.
• Counts and reports all microbial counts.
• Facilitate lab techs with their daily schedule by providing assistance and support where necessary.
• Assist to ensure laboratory testing begins and ends per daily task list for each position.
• Assist Team Leaders to ensure that laboratory has sufficient resources and inventories on supplies.
• Prepares and analyzes all samples assigned.
• Documents and reports results of tests and analyses using SAP.
• Keeps records in accordance with GMP and local and state laws.
• Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and FSMA related mandates.
