Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese, Inc is seeking a Whey Operator to support the Whey Evaporator and Dryer Operator in our whey processing operation. You will operate AMVR evaporator and spray dryers, perform lab work, and help ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.

The role requires quick adaptability, basic math, and SAP experience is a plus. Expect a hands-on production environment with safety policies and a focus on meeting customer quality standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to adapt to change quickly.
• Understand basic operation of evaporator and dryer; adjust processes accordingly.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and clean AMVR evaporator in automatic and manual modes.
• Operate and clean TFD and MSD spray dryers.
• Perform lab work as required.
• Record keeping and compliance with GMP and safety policies.
• Troubleshoot production problems and keep equipment ready for shipments.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Assist with cream shipments preparation.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Quality Food program.
