Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Light-Wheel Vehicle Mechanic to ensure wheeled vehicles are ready for operation. You will supervise and perform maintenance and recovery tasks in both field and shop environments, inspecting and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities include servicing engines, electrical wiring, charging systems, and recovering vehicles as needed. Military enlistment and readiness are required, with paid training and benefits as part of service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to enlist in the Army National Guard.
• Interest in mechanical repair and maintenance.
• Willingness to learn electrical systems and wiring harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain, repair, test, adjust, and replace wheel vehicle systems and components.
• Supervise and perform maintenance and recovery operations on wheeled vehicles in field and shop.
• Perform inspections and servicing of electrical systems, wiring harnesses, charging systems.
