Job summary

The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, through its Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers, is seeking a Wheel Refurbishing Technician. You will perform refurbishing of commercial truck wheels in a Goodyear facility, through a sequence of manual and automated steps, with on-the-job training provided.

No prior experience is required; Goodyear will train in required skills. This entry-level role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and reliability, with opportunities to contribute to our service

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation is offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform wheel refurbishing processes including steam cleaning wheels, shot blasting rust/paint, and inspecting for unsafe conditions.
• Approve or disapprove product completion.
• Paint product with colors per customer specifications.
• Maintain inventory controls to ensure correct products reach customers.
• Follow maintenance schedules and logbooks.
• Deliver Service Excellence to meet location goals.
• Follow safety and liability guidelines and use protective equipment.
• Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting tires and wheels, standing, bending, and squatting.
