Job summary

Guardian Bikes in Seymour, IN is seeking a dependable Wheel Building Operator to join our production team. You will build bicycle wheels from components, lace, tension, and true wheels to meet safety and quality standards.

You will inspect parts, maintain a steady pace to meet daily goals, and follow safety protocols while using hand tools and possibly pneumatic tools. This role supports other production tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or production environments preferred.
• Experience with hand tools or power tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build bicycle wheels from spokes, hubs, rims, and nipples according to build specifications and quality standards.
• Lace, tension, and true wheels to ensure straight, round, and balanced finished wheels.
• Inspect components and finished wheels to catch issues before they move down the line.
• Maintain a steady, fast pace to meet daily production goals.
• Follow safety protocols and keep workstation, tools, and parts organized and ready.
• Communicate quality or process concerns with teammates and leads.
