Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists of Birmingham is seeking a skilled Shop Technician to join our Pelham, AL team. This hands-on role puts you at the heart of our operation, restoring alloy wheels to like-new condition with pride in craftsmanship.

You will work with wheels, tires, and finishes, operate shop equipment, and ensure quality through inspections. The right candidate has basic wheel knowledge, reliable work ethic, and willingness to contribute to a fast-paced shop culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in auto body or wheel repair preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and refinish alloy wheels to manufacturer and customer specifications
• Perform wheel straightening, welding, and structural repairs as needed
• Sand, prep, and apply coatings or paint finishes to damaged wheels
• Operate shop equipment including lathes, grinders, and powder coating tools
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
• Communicate with team leads regarding job status, timelines, and quality control
• Conduct quality inspections on completed work before returning wheels to customers
