Job summary

Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) Operations & Maintenance Manager to oversee the safe operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of WHE for U.S. Navy port and installation operations.

You will supervise crane operators, riggers, inspectors, and maintenance staff, ensuring equipment readiness and compliance with NAVFAC P-307, OSHA, and contract requirements. Travel 25% and contingent on contract award.

Qualifications

• Ten years of weight handling equipment operations and maintenance experience.
• Five years in supervisory or management capacity.
• Experience with crane operations, rigging, inspections, and certifications.
• Knowledge of NAVFAC P-307, OSHA regulations, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead WHE operations, maintenance, inspections, certifications, and resources.
• Supervise crane operators, riggers, inspectors, and maintenance staff.
• Oversee crane/hoist/rigging equipment inspection, maintenance, and repair.
• Plan staffing, schedules, and priorities to ensure readiness.
• Ensure compliance with NAVFAC P-307, OSHA, and lifting procedures.
• Coordinate inspections, load testing, and certification activities.
• Maintain training and certifications for WHE personnel.
• Monitor performance, records, and deficiencies; implement corrective actions.
• Maintain equipment inventories and contract deliverables.
