Job summary

King & George at Jacksonville Naval Air Station, FL, seeks a WHE Operation & Maintenance Manager to provide full authority over Weight Handling Equipment operations and maintenance, ensuring safety and compliance with applicable standards. The role requires ten or more years in WHE, plus at least five years in supervisory roles.

NCCCO/NAVFAC WHE certifications are preferred; a background check is required, and you will lead operators, riggers, and maintenance staff while maintaining PM schedules

Qualifications

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience involving WHE operation and maintenance.
• Minimum five (5) years in supervisory or management roles involving WHE personnel/equipment.
• Must be able to pass background investigations as required by government entities.
• Preferred NCCCO Crane Operator or Inspector certifications; NAVFAC WHE certification experience.

Position Title: WHE Operation & Maintenance Manager

Area of Requirement

Crane / Weight Handling Equipment Operations

Scope of Position

Provides full authority to ensure safe and effective Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) operations and maintenance.

Tasks and Capabilities Required

• Oversee WHE operations, inspections, certifications, and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, crane operation standards, and lifting protocols.
• Supervise operators, riggers, and maintenance personnel.
• Maintain documentation, PM schedules, and certification records.

Mandatory Experience and Certifications

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience involving WHE operation and maintenance.
• Minimum five (5) years in supervisory or management roles involving WHE personnel/equipment.

Preferred/Desired Certifications

• NCCCO Crane Operator or Inspector certifications
• NAVFAC WHE certification experience

Special Qualifications/Requirements

• Must be able to successfully pass, as required, a federal, state, or local government's background investigation.
