Job summary

Flanigan's Enterprises in Florida is seeking energetic server/staff to join our fast-paced team. You will greet guests, take orders, process payments, and deliver meals and beverages with accuracy and courtesy.

Ideal candidates are able to stand for extended periods, speak and write English, and work flexible hours. Prior experience in hospitality and knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines are a plus. We offer health insurance, 401K, paid vacation and meals at a discount.

Qualifications

• Must complete Florida Responsible Vendor program.
• Must complete food safety certification.
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Flexible hours and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed.
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly.
• Accurately enter orders into POS system.
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner.
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework.
• Pack and verify all ToGo orders with guest.
• Greet guests at the curbside pickup area.

• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs

• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Whale's Rib and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Whale's Rib and Florida statutes
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Work in a fast paced environment
