Job description

From our deck swabs to the captains of our kitchen, we welcome the best and brightest to our crew. We run a tight ship and each person on our team plays an integral role to ensure smooth sailing. We’re looking for driven individuals that would make an excellent addition to our unit and we hope that’s you.

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests
• Engages guests while escorting them to their table in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the wait list for seating
• Communicates guests’ questions or concerns to the manager on duty
• Keeps the foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus
• Restocks and maintains restroom cleanliness for guests
• Answers telephone within 4 rings and answers guests’ questions or directs guests to the proper staff member
• Concludes guests’ visits
• Performs shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework
• Can reach, bend, and stoop frequently
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Complete and pass the Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass a food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Five (5) day work week
• Paid vacation: one week after year one, two weeks after two years, and three weeks after ten years
